I've been an Amber fan a couple of years now and hope she comes to L.A. to perform some day. Amber gives me goosebumps when her vocals soar on songs like "She Didn't Color Daddy" and "Soakin' Wet". I just wish she sang like that on every cut! (lol) Anyone who likes Amber should also check out label mate Kimberly Murray's "Once Upon a Time In a Honky Tonk" as Kim can go head to head with Amber on the totally traditional songs. Kim's vocals on "I Can't Remember" and "The Home You're Tearing Down" put her along with Amber at the top of the heap of young females singing real country music these days. It's just a shame these artists rarely perform outside of Texas.

Amber's husband Randy has the nickname of "Bobo" and on Miss Leslie's first studio album Randy composed and plays lead guitar on an instrumental titled "Bobo's Boogie" that shreds! Amber and Bobo make a perfect honky-tonkin couple! Go Amber!

I've never really gotten her, as much as I'd like to. She has pretty good material, but her singing style always seems overly studied and affected to me.

Good call, y'all. I see Amber around Houston pretty regularly and I've never been disappointed in her performance. I swear she sounds like a young Loretta Lynn at times - but she has a powerful style all her own, too. The guy standing behind her on lead guitar is Randy Lindley, her husband, a very talented picker.
