A pretty good week. Or 19,513 if you insist on being literal.
There weren’t any new posts yesterday, but I have a decent excuse. On Monday, Country California sailed past its 10,000th hit. That’s about as much traffic as The 9513 will see in the time it takes you to read this sentence, but it’s a good haul for me considering that nobody knew John Maglite from John Tesh four months ago. Anyway, hitting that milestone on Monday sent me on a day-long celebratory binge from which I finally recovered in the wee hours of this Wednesday morning, just in time to post this message thanking you for your readership and encouragement.
Okay, that’s not entirely true. Although there was a milestone and I do appreciate you, there was no binge. I’ve actually been working out the details of an exciting new collaboration that you might already know about by the time you read this. I’ll come back and edit this post once I know that the cat’s out of the bag.

Cat’s out of the bag! I’ll be contributing occasionally to The 9513. My first piece, a review of the new Melonie Cannon album, went up this morning. I’ll still be here, but I’ll also be there, and sometimes I won’t know where I am. Should be fun!

Go get ‘em, cowboy. You’re one of the best bloggers on this subject; I’m not the least bit surprised.
I just read that back and realized what a creepy CC fanboy I am. Oh well.
Congrats man! Oddly enough, I just passed the 10K mark this morning. We’re joined at the hip I guess. ;)
All this blogger consolidation is giving me crazy head.
Everyone needs groupies, Dan.
Thanks, Trailer. Between this and the name change, I’m just trying to make everyone as confused as possible.
Congratulations! Are you going to keep up this blog as often as Dan keeps up Squinty Dan’s?:)
I’m definitely a fangirl, if such a thing exists.
Heh, Leeann. I deliberately limited my initial commitment to The 9513 because I don’t want this blog to succumb to Squinty Dan’s Syndrome. I enjoy my work here and plan to keep it up.
Woah, now it’s an official Syndrome? I may have to start researching for a cure.
I think that’s a cause we can all get behind. ;)
no binge? Weak sauce man, you should belated binge-it.
Too late now. I’ll have to wait for 100,000.
