Underwood-Fisher Marriage Going “Well”

Although no wedding photos have been released, we're betting it looked like this.

Days after they said their vows at a Georgia resort, the marriage of celebrity power couple Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher is still as strong as ever, said a close family friend we bothered at home while fishing for quotes that might lend an air of authority to this shameless fluff piece.

“The wedding was just very simple and normal, pretty much what you’d expect if you’ve ever been to any other wedding,” said our source, who was in attendance at the star-studded extravaganza of the century, rumored to have cost the bride and groom upwards of $500,000. “Now they’re on the honeymoon, possibly swimming or snorkeling or sunbathing or something. I haven’t talked to them since the wedding, so I really don’t know. Those are just guesses… and what I saw on Entertainment Tonight.”

With no obvious signs of marital discord, Underwood and Fisher apparently remain happily married. That they’ve weathered the first four days of their marriage drama-free comes as no surprise to those who know the two stars best. “It’s just the way they were raised,” said our source.

Theirs is already being called a ‘model marriage’ by some commentators, including CMT.com blogger Greta Hootenanny. ”Carrie and Mike have been through a lot, from the ceremony on Saturday to, uh, whatever has happened since then, so I think America sees a lot of itself in their story,” said Hootenanny, attempting to justify her own unhealthy obsession with the Underwood-Fisher union. “And if they don’t get it now, they will by the time we’re done ramming this story down their throats, compulsively reporting and re-reporting every minute detail until long after there’s nothing left to report.”

“What’s the alternative?” she wondered aloud. “Another story about Taylor’s tweets?”
