They actually had a German name that no one could say correctly, so we changed the name to make it easier to say. On Christmas eve, my entire family would go out to my great grandparents' farm to make fossnozzles. We all would stretch pieces of dough as thin as we could into circles, fry it, and then cover it with sugar. It's always been one of my favorite memories of Christmases with my great grandparents. We always painted em green red and gold to match the Christmas season. Wrapped em in colored clear paper with ribbons and they were quite a hit..
