The best thing to come of Jamey Johnson’s album (re)release is, of course, the music… but I’d say all these interviews with him run a close second. It’s always a pleasant surprise to come across someone on a major label who doesn’t sound scripted or braindead in conversation.

Note too that somehow Jamey manages to be witty without ever suggesting that he would even considering kicking a teenage girl in the teeth.
