All the initial promise displayed in "Ain't What It Used To Be" is utterly lacking from the headache inducing "Trading My Halo For Horns". Performing live with Shakira can not possibly be helping to strengthen Megan's traditional country roots any. Kellie Pickler has always demonstrated a love of real country music when she performs on the Opry unlike so many of her contemporaries who do much better on the charts. Loving real country music and dragging that heritage along can really be a drawback in today's Top 40 AirHead Country Radio scene. Its nice Kellie has good enough taste to not waste time listening to that "young country" stuff.... The end must be near if Luke Bryan is a standard bearer and carrying the torch of traditional country influences on Top 40 radio these days. That's just downright depressing.
