If you were Miranda, would you show up for this two hour long douche chill that was the Country (alledged) Music Telivision Adult Contemporary / Pop Rock Awards show or spend the evening getting smashed on Wild Turkey and Shiner Bock?

lol…hey, I don’t think you’re crazy for that. I didn’t really like it when i first saw it, but that may have been because it was surrounded by so much junk. Seeing it a second time might change my opinion.

If it makes you feel any better, i kinda liked the skit with Swifty and Kerry Collins in the football uniforms. Of course, that’s probably because, like Collins, I’m a Penn State graduate, and a staunch supporter of all things Blue and White. Take that for what it’s worth, but, at least it’s something positive I took from the festivities last night.

During the opening number of the ACMs (which I honestly thought was a decent show this year), the “big stars” performed a medley that was wrapped around the Brooks & Dunn hit, “Play Something Country.” The irony was that the acts involved were Swift, Underwood, Rascal Flatts and Sugarland, all of whom are questionable in their country-ness and who performed some very un-country snippets during the medley. A pan to the audience showed Lee Ann Womack with a real deadpan, dumbfounded look on her face that said, “This is country?! You’ve gotta be sh*&$ing me!”

Kellie Pickler was awesome on the awards! Fabulous outfits and great performance as always =)

Taylor Swift was horrible though, by herself and with Def Leopard – her live vocals were some of the worst I’ve heard from her

My big disappointment was the lack of Miranda Lambert… she wasn’t there; no red carpet, no presenting, no appearance in the audience, and no performance – nothing! =(

I can’t remember what provoked Lee Ann’s eye roll; I just remember that it seemed like a good summary of the whole show and made me like her more. Blake, do you remember what it was in response to?

I missed the ACM’s, can someone further explain Lee Ann Womack’s eye rolling? after which performance/part of the show did she do it?

On the red carpart last night, during Nashville’s news 2 coverage, they said in their peice, ’some people were opposed to T-pain attending’ then they cut to them talking with Lee Ann who said, ‘I’m so over that, dont even get me started.’ and she was shaking her head and had a really disgusted look on her face. I competely agreed with what she was saying.
