On the Spot #2

Since I’ve made some significant changes to the site today, including the commenting system, here’s your chance to give it a test run. Same question as last time:

What’s the last song you heard?

Remember: if you’re going to answer, you have to do it now. No reading this now and coming back to answer after you listen to something cool.

According to last.fm, the last track I played was “This Is Goodbye” by the Randy Rogers Band.

  1. KC says:

Listening to Terri Clark’s “Take My Time” from Fearless.

This commenting system seems a lot better since it didn’t work before without logging in.

  2. ccdixon says:

“Great Is Thy Faithfulness” – Avalon

  3. J.R. Journey says:

    Love the new look …

Listening to Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Sober’ at the moment. Her My December album is just playing in the background ..

  4. the last song I heard was the video for the new Jewel single “till it feels like cheating” which I thought was actually a pretty ugly sentiment.

oh yeah, and dude, new comment system and no preview button? Why is it that you and CU only want to see the rough draft version of my thoughts?

  5. cmw says:

There’s something to be said for unfiltered brilliance, Ben.

No, I’m still tweaking things. There, a Preview button. Now… does it work?

  6. indeed it does, thanks C.M.

  7. Trailer says:

Whew, I’m safe according to Last FM: Hayes Carll – Bad Liver and a Broken Heart

  8. oh, but it added all the crazy lines before my apostrophe

  9. cmw says:

Not sure what’s up with the slashes. Maybe hold off on using apostrophes or go back and delete the crazy lines from your name when you’re done previewing (right before you post) until I have a chance to look at the code.

  10. Chris D. says:

I just finished “There Stands The Glass” by Patty Loveless and “In My Place” by Coldplay just started.

    Is that acceptable for everyone?

  11. Rainbow says:

“You Don’t Have A Heart” – Shelby Lynne

Thank God, no Rascal Flatts this time.

  12. J.R. Journey says:

Yes, praise be to him in the highest!

  13. cmw says:

The My Kind of Country team escaped mostly unscathed this time, but next time…

    Well, who knows?

  14. David Jones says:

“Dry My Tears and Move On” by The Del McCoury Band and, before that, “People Get Ready” by The Blind Boys of Alabama.

  15. Occasional Hope says:

Cheater, Cheater – Joey + Rory (now moved onto Rodeo)

  16. Chris D. says:

Mostly unscathed? Was it my Coldplay? Or JR’s Kelly Clarkson?

No Rascal Flatts is a great sign Rainbow! I’m just glad I wasn’t caught with Mariah Carey… It’s like musical hot potato.

    Isn’t “Rodeo” great Occasional?

  17. Dan says:

I’m watching Walk Hard, and I just heard the title song. Pretty funny movie so far.

  18. J.R. Journey says:

I didn’t really want to admit to the Kelly Clarkson, but Last FM would have told on me if I had lied …

But, My December is a pretty good album overall.

  19. cmw says:

It was the combination of the two, Chris D.

I thought that movie was pretty hilarious, Dan, but the person I saw it with didn’t agree. Come to think of it, I meant to pick up the soundtrack.

  20. Spencer says:

    “Keep You” by Sugarland

  21. Mike K says:

“Tom Ames Prayer” in my car on the way to work after nice 4 day weekend.

  22. Lori says:

‘Somebody Like You’ by Keith Urban. I already have my V-day songs up on my blog. I know, crazy huh? LOL

  23. Brody says:

I don’t know how I missed this post in the past several days, but the last song I listened to was Ralph Stanley II’s “Lord Help Me Find the Way” while trying to write halfway intelligible summaries for my top ten list.

  24. lanibug says:

I was going to leave tomorrow anyway – Trent Tomlinson

  25. Karlie says:

Tracy Lawrence, “I See It Now,” courtesy of Pandora radio. On my Shenandoah station, natch.

  26. CF says:

On the radio (and the true last song I listened to), it was “Show Me What I’m Looking For” by Carolina Liar (alternative rock). Cool song.
