Not to give away the big ending or anything, but I’ll just tell you right now that I will be nowhere near as cool as Texas fiddle master Johnny Gimble when I hit age 83. Hoping to get a review of his excellent all-star Celebrating With Friends album up before too long, but until then, enjoy these clips from last year. There are three generations of Gimbles in the band, with Dick Gimble on bass and Emily Gimble (Marshall Ford Swing Band) on keys. They self-released an album called A Case of the Gimbles back in 2005 (Austin 360 reviewed it).
