If you make it down to LA for that Marty Stuart exhibit at the Autry musuem, you should try your best to see Mike play.

Dave Gleason – a hell of a singer songwriter in his own right – plays guitar in Mike’s band which is rad. And Mike is a great live performer. Also, the songs he has recorded only scratch the surface of his excellent catalogue. Even more impressive is that he is pretty amazing interpreter of covers; my two favs are his “Masters of War” and “Seed and Stems Again Blues”.

so yeah…..I’m something of a fan.

Tragically, these two songs don’t help us learn anything more about lonely guys in empty houses than what you’ve already taught us though. I’ll have to ponder some more on this topic.
