Great album, awful title. That was the period when everyone was just slapping “.com” or “.net” on the end of everything. (Or if you’re Alan Jackson, slapping “www.” on the front of “memory.”)

Ooo, very enticing post. Methinks you oughta do Rank a Discography for Dwight – he’s someone I really need to catch up on, because I’m only super familiar with the singles, Guitars, Cadillacs, and Under the Covers at this point. I know – that admission is like a bucket of cred tossed out the window.

I have this album, but it never grabbed me as much as all this though. While I can enjoy it for what it is, I prefer the original versions to all the songs you mentioned. I do like the recording of ‘Things Change’ from this disc a lot however.

I stumbled across this one a couple years ago in Borders and thought it was some kind of bootleg because of the packaging. It piqued my interest though, and it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made. The included version of “Buenas Noches From A Lonely Room” slays me every time.

Wow, I’ve never seen such sparse packaging from a major label! Dwight’s overly nasal voice has never appealed to me as much as his songs do. Maybe that’s why my only Dwight song CD is the songwriter’s tribute “Will Work For Food”. This album does sound interesting though….
