He's getting better than that "Love Your Love The Most" nonsense. But the whole "outlaw" bit is unpalatable. I don't care if its genuine or if he's a pretend-outlaw. Either way, its annoying and its been played out for a long time. Still, Eric has released a few half decent singles to radio lately, so I give him credit. If he'd develop a more attractive persona, I'd like him. Now, there are some people who do not like Rascal Flatts. I don't really like their music, but I will always have a soft spot for them in my hearts because they fired Eric Church. Gotta love them for that. Talent barely makes it palatable, behavior pushes it to unacceptable. Not a rebel, a pretender. Keep the drink in your hand and try to look the part, you can fool some of the people all the time and most of the people some of the time, but Eric, you can't fool us fans who have been around the rebels of country for decades now and know the real and know the counterfeit.
