I am liking this Steve guy.
What show was C.M. Cox reviewing? The show I saw was a guy “trying” to sing. There was a lot of talking about about a lot of nothing in the most annoying red neck, hillbilly, country bumpkin voice I have ever heard. Amazing band-Damian Green is that show! That kid needs to play with someone big. He is wasting his time with this wanna be country boy.

You C.M. Wilcox moron, stupid, idiot.. I’ve seen a few like you across the country, wannabe journalist, trying to linger around the music industry. The type that doesn’t know crap about music really, just what you personally think sounds good huh? You probably believe that Beck was an important artist? or truly believe the billboard charts? you should never go near anything related to music or be allowed to give your opinion to the public. look for me next time you come out there, ask for big steve, and we’ll give you a better introduction to country music out back.

The show was freakin’ great. Even the line dancers, with their bottles of water and their Borg collective, zombie like gaze could not ruin the show. Aaron Watson was very friendly and did indeed hang out by his merch table signing stuff and taking pictures until the night was finished. Make sure to catch him in September when he rolls through town again.

But the Aaron Watson that appeared at Rockin’ Rodeo was one that I haven’t heard on record yet. Not even the Live at the Texas Hall of Fame recording put out a few years back captures the live show. Wow. A free CD? That’s impressive. I would love to see him in concert someday, but I really doubt he’ll be coming close enough to me for that to happen.
