Yeah, me too. I'm going to do it on principle. Your average independent country music purchaser could care less about Sony. I don't appreciate being forced to pay the same price for less downloads without a better reason than the Sony back catalog. Any suggestions of where to go? I like that I could essentially pay less per track with Emusic than on Amazon or Itunes.

Yeah, not so excited about that. I'll probably be cutting back on my Emusic spending and putting some of that money somewhere else starting next month.

Not sure if I like it better than the Trent Summar, but it's one of the cooler things I've heard so far this year, so I recommend it. I think it's more interesting than some of BR549's stuff.

I've listened to the clips, but I didn't think they sounded as good as Trent Summar and the New Row Mob. Would you say so, CMW? If so, I'll try him again.

When I saw Chuck and his band perform recently here in LA the musical highlight was Chuck singing a solo acoustic version of "Lovesick Blues" while his steel guitar player changed a broken string. Chuck does a super job on traditional hillbilly material but in his effort to forge a new musical identity separate from BR5-49 he has gone a bit too far in the opposite direction in my opinion. I purchased a copy of "Journeyman's Wager" and although it is enjoyable and has its moments it is by no means an "essential" album. Ranking 3.75 Stars out of 5. Fans of Trent Summar and the New Row Mob will feel right at home with Chuck's album, and Chuck and Trent co-wrote the track "Up On Edge Hill".

I bought the Mescalito album, without even hearing any of Bingham's songs, just on the strength of a country music blog I read - the915.com, I thik. I have found so much good music thanks to them and a bunch of other country blogs; stuff you'd never hear on middle America country radio. Thank you, blogs.

As for favorite Bingham song, I think it would be "Bread and Water." Love the opening and the backbeat.
