Even with a fairly spotty posting schedule and a whole week off at the end, November 2010 was our biggest month for pageviews since April/May of 2009. Pageviews aren’t the most reliable of metrics because they can be inflated pretty easily by constant reloading (during live blogs, for instance) and search engine bots that pull a bunch of pages at once. Unique visitors are a better indicator, and that’s one area where we’ve grown slowly but surely month to month from the very beginning. By that measure, November 2010 was our best month ever, with more than twice as many eyeballs on us as we had during the same period last year.
Obviously, content is more important than numbers, but growth is growth. If we can top ourselves in a month like November, I’m very optimistic about what we’ll be able to do when our attention is less divided.
Two-and-a-half years in, I’m still excited to see what’ll happen next. And that’s thanks to you.
So, thank you. Keep reading and we’ll keep writing, capiche?
