Idol-turned-country-singer Bucky Covington has joined with Reading Across America in the fight against childhood illiteracy. Although not personally affected, Covington does “know a guy” who is, making the cause near and dear to his heart.

Covington is recruiting a few of his country singer friends to help the cause as well: Eddie Montgomery, Billy Currington, and Big Vinny from Trailer Choir are all set to appear at his Reading Across America benefit concert/read-a-thon in Nashville next month.
