Uhoh, I’ve heard rumors that are contrary to this reporting! In order not to confuse his fan base (most of which struggle with simple math), I’ve heard that Jason plans to change the title of this re-mixed song to “She’s a City Girl” and re-write the lyrics as well to substitute urban/suburban cliche’s! Jason was quoted as saying “Since “She’s Country” had nothing truly country about it, I felt it best that I maintain the contrast or irony, or whatever you call it, on this this rootsy remake. Also, I don’t want this controversial version of my biggest song driving off all my mosh pit loving, body surfing dedicated fanbase. For that reason I’m thinking of releasing “She’s A City Girl” under an assumed name, like maybe Chris Gaines…”. It will be interesting to see how this pans out for this wildly popular retread southern rocker!
