- There aren’t many people in my area reading this blog, but for those few who are: I’ve set up a Concert Calendar to help keep track of upcoming country shows in Northern California. Surprisingly, there are a lot of them, so it will be a good way for me to keep the dates straight even if nobody else cares.
- I’ve been getting a lot of search engine referrals from people Googling “What country is California in?” For the past 150 years or so, the correct answer has been the United States. You are welcome.
- April was the biggest month on record. I double dog dare you to make May even bigger.
- Winners of the Vern Gosdin Super Hits giveaway have been announced (in the original post) and contacted, but people are welcome to keep adding their thoughts about Vern.
- The human body is about 60% water. In my case, the other 40% is snark. But Monday through Thursday of next week, I’m only going to post about things I think are great. Then we’ll wash all that away with a bit of Fake News on Friday and return to our regularly scheduled program the following week.
- What’s with all the different spellings of the name Daryl? Darryl Worley, Daryle Singletary, Darrell Scott, Deryl Dodd… it’s enough to drive a guy crazy.
- Someone arrived from a search engine looking for LSD in Santa Rosa. I feel like I let that person down.
- Do you think Joey + Rory are tired of telling the adorable story of how they met yet?
- Do we still have to call them “Joey plus Rory” or have they given up that battle by now?
- Fact: There is no song so horrendous that somebody somewhere will not adopt it as a personal anthem.
- I think one of my biggest fears is getting stuck inside a Kenny Chesney song.
- Have a nice weekend, everybody.

Comment Policy: Just don't be too big of a jerk, okay? It's a pretty simple rule.

Maybe the LSD person misspelled LDS (AKA mormon)?
I think Joey + Rory have lost that battle, but I still say “plus” because I’m weird like that. xD
I would hate to be in a Chesney song as well…
If Joey Martin did a solo album, it would be called Joey + Rory – Rory = Joey.
I liked their CD. I think they’re capable of making a great album(s), but I don’t think they’re quite there yet. The Life of a Song is a decent debut, but doesn’t completely deliver on its promise.
