A follow-up to the earlier post about Walmart using their CDs as mini MP3 billboards:
Amazon has announced a similar cross-promotion for the holiday season. If you make a purchase of at least $25 from select areas of the site (including - naturally - the music CD section), a message will show up in your email inbox shortly thereafter indicating that a $5 credit for the Amazon MP3 store has been applied to your account. It looks like the subliminal message of the season is “get with the times!”

Yup, I’ve already gotten that five dollar credit this month, for buying a backpack that’ll carry a laptop, of all things.

HA! Naw, sadly, I’ve been lugging a laptop around for longer than my association with Kevin. I just figured it was time to carry it in something that was made for it instead of continuing to throw it in a regular ‘ol backpack.
