Vern Gosdin Giveaway Redux
Remember that Vern Gosdin birthday giveaway in early August? Well, we’re coming up on the one-month anniversary of Vern Gosdin’s 74th birthday and… okay, I won’t even bother trying to justify it this time. I just have an extra, brand-new copy of the Super Hits compilation that I want to send you. You can find a track listing at Amazon.
Immediately after posting the first giveaway, I saw that this site was being featured on Country Universe. I figured that might mean lots more entries, so I picked up a second copy of the album to add to the pot as necessary (if entrants’ chances of winning fell below 1/5 or so). It didn’t end up being necessary then, so here it is now.
To enter, just comment on this post by Friday at 11:59 PM (PST). A winner will be chosen at random and announced on Saturday.

And the first name out of the hat is… Richard! Drop me an email with your mailing address and I’ll get this CD out to you on Monday.
Didn’t win? You still have a chance! There’s one (1) more copy of the album available in a Last Chance Quick-Draw. This opportunity is only for those who are already in the running: Jamie, KC, Chad, mcsteve34, Dan, and Blake. The first person to comment below gets the second CD. If that person is you, you don’t need to wait for me to announce it; go ahead and send me your mailing address, too. Your CD will go out at the same time as Richard’s on Monday.

Considering the odds are looking pretty good right now, I would enter, but I already have that album. Good luck with the giveaway, though.
You have to admit there’s a certain charm to a giveaway in which the prize is a budget release and there aren’t any entrants. (It’s a very good budget release, by the way.)
One month annivers… I’m still trying to do some math on that one. :-)
I’m not familiar with Vern Gosdin’s music, but the clips on Amazon sound interesting. I think the only song I’ve heard before is “Chiseled in Stone.”
I’ve always loved the Vern Gosdin songs I know, but I’ve never bought any of his music….
When a significant relationship for me ended a few years back, I kept playing Gosdin’s “Is it Raining at your house” over and over. The last line, “by the way I still love you” made me choke up almost every time.
Trust me, you want this. I’d enter but I won last time.
put me in the running for the voice! My son met him in Nashville a few years ago and I remember him playing so much in San Antonio Tx I thought he was from there.
Richard
I wants it. I needs it.
I hope I beat Dan.
And the winner of the quick-draw is…
Cool, thanks for the second chance.
…and the CD.
oh well…I guess I missed the chance. Enjoy the CD, KC :)
Thanks to everyone for playing. This was fun. Of course, I encourage everyone to get some (or some more) Vern… this is just my way of putting it right in the hands of a few people. :-)
